RECAP: INTERVIEW SKILLS ENHANCEMENT WORKSHOP
This workshop, organized by JobsGO in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH), aimed to create an environment for networking and interaction between businesses and students. The event was a resounding success, with the participation of over 200 IUH students, providing them with valuable job opportunities and connections.
Kicking off the workshop was a presentation by Ms. Ha My, Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Specialist at FPT IS. Ms. My shared practical and beneficial information to help students prepare an impressive CV with a comprehensive layout and a polished, visually appealing presentation. She also provided illustrative examples, giving students a clearer and more concrete understanding of a standard CV that can make a positive impression on recruiters. Ms. My’s insights will undoubtedly help students create impactful CVs.
Following Ms. My's presentation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhat Minh, Center Manager from Jaxtina English Center with over 7 years of experience in team management, operations, and development, shared tips on preparing for effective interviews. From researching company information on websites and fan pages to conducting pre-visits, timing travel, and preparing appropriate attire, as well as adjusting breathing to project a professional demeanor. Ms. Minh's approachable sharing provided students with valuable perspectives on their job search journey.
The next speaker, Ms. Chau Le (Violet), EMEA & APAC Recruitment Lead at Infinite Lambda, shared effective job search websites and platforms. Thanks to her insights, students learned about websites for finding both domestic and international job opportunities. She also highlighted internship opportunities and forums and groups for networking and connecting with recruiters at various companies. Ms. Chau Le’s suggestions offered students a wide range of diverse and attractive job search resources.
✨ To conclude the speaker presentations, Ms. Mai Thi Thu, HR Partnership Director at CarePlus International Clinic System, a member of Singapore Medical Group (SMG), shared advice on finding and leveraging internship opportunities. She also presented numerous current job openings for students to explore. These references will be incredibly useful for students seeking an ideal work environment.
Finally, after the speakers interacted with and answered students' questions, a crucial segment of the workshop took place: mock interviews with representatives from various companies. Many third and fourth-year students brought their CVs to the speakers' tables for practical interviews and received feedback to help them improve and prepare confidently for their job search.
