FIS Partners with Japanese Company to Promote Green Transformation
In the context of over 120 countries setting targets to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the calculation and inventory of greenhouse gases is becoming a crucial factor in the sustainable development strategies of businesses, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, where CO2 emissions have increased to 15.2 billion tons. To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, it is essential to calculate and reduce CO2 emissions throughout the supply chain. The collaboration between FIS and Zeroboard aims to address these challenges, providing businesses with more effective solutions for reporting and reducing greenhouse gas emissions that meet global emission reporting standards, such as ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol, and other standards.
Attending the signing ceremony were Ms. Bui Nguyen Phuong Chau, Chief Operating Officer of FIS, and Mr. Tran Trung Duc, VertZero Product Representative from FIS. From Zeroboard, Mr. Shintaro Suzuki, APAC Regional Director & CEO of Zeroboard (Thailand), was present.
The combination of technology and services from both parties will enhance the accuracy of inventories, improve reporting quality, and optimize carbon emission reduction plans for customers. Specifically, within the collaboration framework, FIS offers the VertZero solution to help businesses accurately inventory and report emissions, while providing strategic recommendations to optimize emission reduction plans.
Meanwhile, Zeroboard provides a product that visualizes data and analyzes the supply chain to offer specific mitigation measures. FIS and Zeroboard will assess compatibility and propose a suitable linkage framework for both systems to ensure seamless data exchange, reducing the difficulty in collecting supply chain emission data for reporting, thereby helping businesses access emission information from their supply chain easily and quickly. The two parties will also share technical knowledge and data to improve service performance, directly driving innovation in the greenhouse gas inventory sector.
At the signing ceremony, Ms. Bui Nguyen Phuong Chau, Chief Operating Officer of FIS, shared: "Partnering with Zeroboard, a major Japanese partner in greenhouse gas emission inventory and reduction, demonstrates FIS's strong commitment and efforts to continuously improve quality, accompanying Vietnamese businesses towards NetZero goals and realizing long-term sustainable strategies. We believe that the synergy, experience sharing, data, and implementation methods between FIS and Zeroboard will not only enhance the quality of the VertZero solution and Zeroboard software, bringing many valuable benefits to businesses seeking green transformation in Vietnam and Japan, but also drive sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region."
Mr. Shintaro Suzuki also expressed his expectations for this collaboration: "The disclosure of CO2 emissions by companies in Vietnam will be accelerated under new regulations, requiring large businesses in the global supply chain to collect greenhouse gas data from stakeholders, with the key being to facilitate efficient data transfer between companies. By combining our services with FIS, we can help make GHG data linkage between user companies more efficient and convenient. Above all, companies that achieve carbon reduction management goals throughout the supply chain will be highly valued in the financial market, and their corporate value will increase. This collaboration with FIS will be a crucial step for the Vietnamese market to promote the vision of reducing greenhouse gases in the supply chain."
Regarding FIS's VertZero product, Mr. Tran Trung Duc, Product Representative, shared insights into its outstanding features and successful customer collaborations in Vietnam.
The collaboration between FIS and Zeroboard will allow both companies to expand their potential for exploiting CO2 emission measurement data. Integrating technology and knowledge between the two companies is expected to open new opportunities for businesses in managing emissions, while creating a solid foundation for a future where economy and environment develop in parallel, towards the common goal of a carbon-neutral world.
Earlier the same day, Mr. Shintaro Suzuki visited FPT Tower, FIS's office on the 12th floor, and listened to a presentation on the MBF – akaBot solution. Zeroboard representatives positively evaluated the MBF product and expressed their impression of the modern and creative space at FPT Tower.
